Cedarwood Policies
These policies are current for all bookings and supersede any terms & conditions otherwise implied or made, except in writing with reference to these conditions.
Cancellation Policy:
The booking of accommodation is a contract between our two parties. Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort will provide the accommodation and services described and agreed. The guest undertakes to pay for the accommodation booked unless cancelled by them in accordance with the following cancellation policy.
BASIC OUTLINE OF POLICY
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your booking, there is no charge.
If you cancel within the 48 hour period, there may be a charge. If you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be liable for the full booking cost.
Below is the legal version and should be read in conjunction with the summary above.
Cancellation Policy as it pertains to individuals:
a. If you cancel or amend your booking more than 48 hours before midday of your expected day of arrival there is no fee payable.
b. If you cancel your booking within the 48 hour period before midday of your expected day of arrival, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to incur a cancellation charge of one (1) night’s accommodation.
c. If you shorten your stay or decide to leave earlier than the specified departure date, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to charge you the full amount of your original booking.
d. If you have issued your Credit Card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and, section b. above applies, then Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to charge your Credit Card for the expected cost of the room booked by you.
e. If you have paid a deposit by cheque, cash, credit card or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to retain the deposit paid. In cases where the deposit does not cover the actual loss incurred, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to issue an invoice for the balance.
f. If you have issued your Credit Card details as a means of reserving the room and no deposit has been given or taken, and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to charge your Credit Card for the full amount of the expected room cost.
g. In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount.
Cancellation Policy as it pertains to Group Bookings:
A Group Booking is defined as a booking made by the same party of more than two separate units irrespective of the number of guests in each unit.
a. If you cancel your booking more than 28 Days before midday of your expected day of arrival a full refund of any deposit paid will be forwarded to you.
b. If you cancel your booking within the 28 Day period before midday of your expected day of arrival and we are able to re-let the rooms you will receive a full refund of your deposit paid. If we are unable to let all the rooms booked by you, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to retain your deposit.
c. If you have issued your Credit Card details as a means of reserving the rooms and no deposit has been given or taken, and, section b. above applies, then Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to charge your Credit Card for the amount of the deposit.
d. If you have paid a deposit by cheque, cash, credit card or any other means and you cancel on the day you are due to arrive or there is no prior notification of cancellation and you fail to arrive, then Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to retain the deposit paid and further charge you for the full amount of the expected rate of the rooms booked by you.
e. In all situations described above, where a deposit has not been paid and credit card details have not been issued, Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort reserves the right to issue an invoice for the appropriate amount.
DEPOSIT Please use the following criteria when calculating the deposit required. Single night booking – 25% deposit, multiple night bookings = one night deposit.
CHECK IN-OUT Check-in is available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Check-out time is 10am on the day of departure. Early check-in and/or check-out is by arrangement only.
PAYMENT Payment for all accommodation must be made in full on or before the day of departure. Any extra charges are to be paid for on the day of departure (if not already done so). Overdue/recovery charges may be made if your account is not paid on time. Groups and sports team’s special conditions for payment will be advised.
VISITORS Any damage to the room or property may be charged, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
SMOKING Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort is a NON-SMOKING establishment. Please smoke outside.
ODOURS Cooking of odoriferous foods (i.e. fried food, fish & some ethnic foods) is not encouraged in the motel units. Charges may apply for extra cleaning and deodorizing.
DAMAGE & BEHAVIOUR
a. The registered guest is responsible for the behaviour of all persons/visitors whilst on the property.
b. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and any costs associated with inappropriate behaviour resulting in loss of income to Cedarwood Lakeside Holiday Resort will be charged to the registered guest.
c. BBQ Usage – You are welcome to use the BBQ’s provided, please be considerate to our other guests by cleaning after use.
